Humboldt County is situated 12 miles south of Eureka, in one of best agricultural sections of the county. It contains a population of about 150. Stages leave daily for Eureka, and also for Cloverdale, connecting at the latter place with the trains of the San Francisco and North Pacific Coast R. R.

Timber Cove P O
Sonoma County is situated on the coast 4 miles from Timber Cove Landing, in a section possessing a beautiful climate, which, together with its picturesque scenery and good hunting and fishing, make it an inviting summer resort. Stock raising is the principal pursuit carried on. A considerable quantity of tanbark, wood, and posts are shipped from this point to San Francisco. Stages leave daily for Duncan's Mills, connecting with the trains of the North Pacific E. R.

Marin County is situated on the line of the North Pacific Coast R. R, 55 miles north of San Francisco, in an excellent agricultural and grazing section. Trains leave daily for San Francisco and intermediate points.

Humboldt County a town of about 300 inhabitants, is situated on the sea-coast, 30 miles north of Eureka. The manufacturing of lumber and shingles are the principal pursuits carried on in this section. A light-house is located on the headland about one mile from town.
