Wisconsin Genealogical and Historical Societies

Genealogy and Historical Societies can often be a great resource for finding information on you ancestors.  Most charge a minimal amount to join, usually $15-$20 per year.  Many will do look ups and copy information from books or periodicals.  Many offer books on their area usually at a low cost.  Always be nice, thank you's and don't ask for every Smith listed!!
